History

Birth of Barrows’ Blue Bells Society

Early Beginning: A Timeline of the Barrows’ Blue Bells School

In 1988 Barrows’ Blue Bells Society was formed with its three Patrons:

Mrs. I. D. Barrow (Retd. Govt. English Teacher) and her husband the late Mr. D.Barrow (Ex- Govt. Employee) and their son Mr. J. D. Barrow (Bank Manager) along with other Christian community members as a Charitable and Educational Society to run the School.

Consolidation And Expansion

It all started in Bahraich (U.P), at Civil Lines, on 1st April, 1988, when a small nursery and kindergarten was started in the home of Mrs. I. D. Barrow (currently serving the society as its Chairperson) and her husband Late D. W. Barrow, with just 28 students.

Slowly and gradually the school building expanded too and developed into an elegant edifice under the careful supervision of Mr. J. D. Barrow (currently serving the society as its founder Manager/Secretary) and has indeed established a fine reputation as one of the leading educational institutions in the city. Since 1988, school has been increasing in number and infrastructure but each year brought more and more students and very soon, the school ran short of space to accommodate its growing student body.

It was believed that the new Branch of school would be a monument to the educational zeal of the society. Thus, in 2019 Barrows’ Blue Bells School has also opened its new branch at Nagraur, in Bahraich (U.P). The new branch of Barrows’ Blue Bells at Nagraur grew in stature under the vigorous academic environment, the commitment of the teaching faculty and the school determination to ensure each student receives the attention and care he needs to flourish and bloom.

The School continues to excel by God’s grace, evolving while remaining true to its foundation ideals. We gave up the elitist culture of being an exclusive school and rather decided to be an inclusive school where preferential admission is given to the children from the socio economically weaker sections of the society.
